The Privacy Bill 2018 is scheduled to come into effect on 1 November 2020.

Here are 5 things your business should be doing

1. Make sure you have a Privacy Officer
2. Make sure your Privacy Policy is up to date
3. Make sure you know what your procedures are if you have a breach
4. Know where your data is stored. If offshore it must be in a country with Privacy laws comparable to NZ
5. Know what data you collect and how it is used.
